HAMBURG, NY June 5, 2017 -- Democratic candidate for Hamburg Town Supervisor, Jim Shaw, today announced the endorsement of his candidacy by the WNY Working Families Party (WFP). According to Shaw, the third-party support is valuable on many levels.

“The Working Families Party is focused on tackling the political, economic, and educational inequalities faced by working and middle-class families, and I am honored by their endorsement,” Shaw stated. “Not only does it bring momentum to my campaign, it underscores key components of my platform. I believe in fair and open job opportunities for town residents based on merit and competent appointments over political connections or family ties. I am also for open communication and consideration of all town residents in every department of my administration. With the combined support of WFP and the Democratic Party, I look forward to earning the needed votes to become Hamburg’s next town supervisor.”

Since 1998, the WNY Working Families Party has been focused on actively pursuing issues that are important to working men and women in Western New York. They achieve those goals through sponsorship of candidate forums, political rallies and legislative lobbying on issues are the core of working family’s concerns.
